Bettdev, Oh my Lord...your poor kitty! I even had to call my DH in to take a peek at this...he couldn't figure out what it was...till I showed him the OK picture! You must have some wicked snakes in Fl. I guess I will take snow instead.lol

How long has it been for the recovery? Keep us posted.

I couldn't tell what part of the cat that picture was. Wow.
I have a cat who looks just like Merlin. His name is DoDo (or Dough Dough.)

shocking

That pic was of the left hip...he's shaved back there to keep him clean. He had 3 open wounds, one at the base of his tail, and 1 on each hip. The one on his tail, and right hip are almost entirely healed. This one, the biggest wrapped around his leg, and was on his abdomen, too.
It's been almost 2 months since he was bitten. I have no idea how long it will be before he's fully recovered.
I had the vet ask me to bring him in, but told him that I simply could not afford any more visits. He seems to feel fine...eats, sleeps, plays....just walks a little funny.
My DD nicknamed him "scabby-butt".........he could care less, as long as she loves on him.

Hi klcrn. Been tough around here. Haven't spent much time online. My husband and I lost our 15 year old son in October and it's all I can do to hold myself together. I did go to the school last weekend to visit his steer, but it was harder than I imagined, so I didn't make it back to where the pigs are. I bet they're all grown up now. Pretty sure that would qualify as an oversized package with UPS.

Guess I'll be around some now, though. Have a nice holiday.

Thank you, and don't cry. I'm crying enough for everyone. Jonathan died in his sleep from heart failure the night we came home from our vacation to Gatlinburg. He had not been sick. They don't know why. He was my best friend and I'm just lost. We went everywhere and did everything together. He always made me laugh. Thank you for asking.

I took Spencer, his cat, to the vet the other day to have a microchip put in. My husband calls it a lojack!! I just didn't want to take a chance that he might get lost. I had brought Spencer home from work (at the vet's office) as a birthday gift to myself, but he took to Jonathan and the two of them were inseperable. He made that cat sooooo mean you wouldn't believe it. They used to play so rough. But we're getting him to calm down. He really is a sweetheart. He misses Jonathan, too. Spent the first two weeks crying outside his bedroom door. But I have the door open now and we both spend time in there.

Didn't mean to make you cry. I'm so sorry.

Katie

Katydid987,

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that everyday you will grow a little stronger and go on.

Thank you very much, Janet. I appreciate it very much. I'm not very strong, but I'm trying.
