My parents had a beautiful Shelti too she was Shellie. Would hide under the table if you mentioned "bath". She was a good dog and only barked when a real reason to. They also had 2 Great Danes at one time. I loved those dogs.
We also had an Akita/Shephard for number of years but had to send her to doggy heaven 3 yrs ago this past March. Now have 2 Pugs, female 5 yr old Panda and male 1 yr old Koda not her puppy. They belong to g-son Adam but we all take care of them.

~ ahhh..... well, since we are adding their 'scuttlebutt'.....

we got our sable Sheltie *Emily* when she was an eight week old baby
from a New England breeder, and we rescued our tricolor Sheltie *Sadie*
when she was three years old.

~ We very recently celebrated their 7th birthday.....
it is such a neat coincidence that they were born only a few days apart!
