Anyone else ever have Sea Monkies?

Okay, this is whay I don't let DH go along to Wal mart.

The other week when he was on vacation, he found this sea monkey kit. And he just had to have it.

So, now I have a sea monkey aquarium on the top of my fridge. They did hatch, and right now they look like microscopic tadpoles.

The benefits? They only have to be fed once a week, and the tank doesn't have to be cleaned out, the water just has to be stirred. It is actually a fantastic pet for someone who wants a pet, but really don't want to have to interact or bother much with a pet.(LOL)

When I was young, I always said I wanted to be someone...I guess I should have been more specific!

I had sea monkies when I was little, but never saw anything. When I had kids, my DS wanted some, so I got him some. One huge sea monkie did grow and eventually died. They seem to have a short life. But, I think it is fun for the children.

My kids had sea monkey's when they were little and I hated those weird little critters. You had to look at them through a magnifier on the side of their fish bowl and they would always come over and look back at us. I used to think they were some kind of alien creatures and they would get out at night so I began having nightmares about them. The kids liked them though. I guess I just have a weird imagination. I know I was glad when we didn't have them any more. We also used to have Guppies and Angel fish and gold fish. We have no aquariums or fish now.

Gabe got a sea monkeys kit for his birthday. They hatched and then died the day after the first feeding.
