Cheesy Stuffed Sausage Pasta Bake

1 lb. penne pasta
1 lb. pkg. roll pork sausage
24 oz pasta sauce
2 tsp italian seasoning
15 oz cottage cheese
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta as pkg directions, drain and set aside. Cook sausage in large skillet till thoroughly cooked. Drain and return to skillet you have wiped extra grease out of. Stir in the sauce, italian seasoning and the cooked pasta. Layer half of the pasta mixture into a 13 x 9" baking pan. Mix the cottage cheese and 1 cup of the mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Spread over the pasta. Top with remaining pasta and mozzarella cheese. Bake about 30 minutes or till the cheese is melted. 8 servings

This pasta bake was delicious! Before my grand kids were finished eating they were asking when I was going to make it again. My dh is a fan of cottage cheese and he also like this pasta bake. The only thing I did different was that I did not use any Italain seasoning because I used my homemade sauce and didn't think I needed more seasoning. We had Garlic Knots and a Garden Salad with this meal.
