Swift Spaghetti

6 cups water
1 package (8 oz.) spaghetti
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 pound ground beef
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

In a large saucepan, bring water to boil. Add spaghetti and dry soup mix. Cook 20 minutes or until spaghetti is tender. Do not drain. Meanwhile, in a skillet, brown ground beef until no longer pink; drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste and spices. Add to spaghetti and heat through. Server 4.

Found this in my local paper (food wednesday) and it states it came from "Taste of Home's Pasta Cookbook."
