Rut-Like Routines and Self Esteem

I work from home. I have fallen into a bad pattern of doing my work outs and coming to my office to work. Sometimes I don't get cleaned up until I am off work.

My new goal is be showered and dressed with just a smidge of make-up by 8am! I did it all week. It's been great. I feel more energized. I feel better about myself overall. And I don't have to have go into a shame spiral should someone come to the door.

Is anyone else doing anything to get out of a rut-like routine?

I find I am taking better care of myself since I started working. I guess if I work in a beauty shop spa I need to look better!

I try and put some make up on every day. I work in an office and sometimes get in a rut and don't do make up and just throw my hair in a ponytail for the day.

I have noticed if I spend the time in the morning to do my hair and make up. I feel better about myself.

Not that the fall is coming and the kids are going back to school. I am going to get myself into a routine of dressing nicer and spending time for myself in the morning.
Have a wonderful day.

Good for you Charlotte. Its been hard for me the last few weeks with all of my pet and other issues, but I need to shower and primp a bit after the gym. Its worth it!

Good luck..

we're currently renting a three level house, so I have a cat box on the upper most and lower most floors, this way I am doing the stairs at least three times a week...btw, our kitchen is on the second floor so most groceries are on that floor and some refrigerator (extra's or over sized) are on the main floor - so now I get my weights in at least twice a week, and laundry is done on one week day and one weekend day.
