Personal Organizers

Does anyone have any type of personal organizers they recommend?
I actually do feel I am well organized but I would like to get my various "notebooks" down to one organizer or system.
I have a weekly calendar; an combination journal and on going "to do" list notebook; a birthday notebook; a Christmas notebook; an address book; grocery and coupon list; and on and on.
What do you use that you might recommend I try? What works well for you in organizing all your to do's and to buy's.....?

hello again

I would recommend a PDA of some sort...I have a palm and use it for all of those things. Not only do I have all info on it, I can print a hard copy of any thing I need. I will never be without it again.
ps. I dont believe we ever exchange postcard info!

take a look at the household notebook at
there are a lot of different pages you can print out and she tells you how to use them. she even has a front, back and spine cover for the notebook if you use a 3 ring binder that has the clear plastic on the outside.

I agree with going to Organized Home. The advice there is simple and practicle and something you can realistically "do". I tried Flylady, but her system is really millitant for my tastes. The only thing I took from her site that actually works for me is "get dressed every morning to the shoes".

Organized home also has message boards where you can get some amazing help and support to find a system that really works for you.

Litterally, Organized home has saved my sanity, my marriage, our family, and our house. Everyone I know has noticed a change and they all want to know how I did it.

I love my Palm Pilot!!! It lets me transfer data from my PC at home and at work to my Palm Pilot and back! I can keep track of all my Dr's schedules at work and still keep up with my kids schedules too! Wonderful don't know how I lived with out one!

I use a regular 'daytimer' type thing to lug with me for appointments and so on. I also keep my 'things to buy' and 'errands to run' and everyone's sizes in it, as well as all my phone numbers. I love 's control journal. i made one for home, and my life has TURNED AROUND. My 'birthday' notebook is also a section in my organizer. I enter my Christmas to-dos in the organizer, because they are date specific, but have a christmas section in the control journal to deal with storage, etc. About PDA's? some people like them a lot, but if you are disorganized by nature, steer clear. you will forget new batteries and your LIFE will flash in front of your eyes as it dies, lol.

;-) I agree about the Control Journal!!! i am working on mine, and it really seems to be what i need...I also cannabilized a few pages from Organized homes household notebook as well lol as well as some other sites with printable organization pages...believe me i need it all lol!

However most of the Flylady stuff is too overwhelming for me...those emails made me feel like I wasn't getting it done fast enough! but then again, when i tried it i was working full time too! Maybe i should take a second look now that I am a sahm??? Hmmmm... Another place I go is MY MESSY HOUSE lol helps and its quite practical!!!
