Sorry I missed it Connie...
A sausage roll is called that because you generally use a lower grade of minced beef (ground) called sausage mince that's more fatty and very fine.
Try 1 sheet frozen puff pastry cut in half length ways
Cooked and cooled beef, chicken mince or leftover spaghetti mince, savoury, or casserole/crock meat with a bit of gravy.
Some cooked veg chopped, seasoning to taste.
Roll in a log, brush with milk, cut into 2, 4, or 6 pieces and bake in a 210/220*C oven for about 20 mins.
To be honest I really just throw anything in it that I throw in a meat pie, but make sure there isn't to much gravy to leak out.
Bacon, chicken egg and cheese is another good one, apple for a sweet one if you wish sprinkling with cinnamon sugar on top.

If you want you can just squeeze out your favourite sausage onto the pastry that way, it will take longer to cook if it's raw or just plain old veg if you don't like meat.

Just called a "sausage roll".
