I have the following things on my immediate list:

1. Sort through my kids clothes in their dressers and closets. Donate clothes that are too small and toss clothes that are worn out. Stash clothes from other seasons instead of cluttering up drawers.

2. Sort out large bookshelf in dining area. Find places for all of the junk that has found its way there.

3. Clean out frig. Get ice maker fixed!!

Our kitchen was redone 2yrs ago and it's still unpainted, not much needs painting in that room but it's open plan to the rest of the house so you can't paint it alone. This year we WILL get the interior of the house painted.
Fix the hole in the wall near the bathroom (leaky pipes needed fixing)
Get a new front door.
Go through my kitchen cupboards and get rid of stuff or appliances I don't use any more.
That is my start.

You know we sit a write a list every year and this or last year was the first time we didn't get half the things done.

First off, vaccum up a mess in the study. Done, did that this afternoon! Had to start off with a positive thing!

Next go to Home Depot for ceiling tile, carpet pad, laminate flooring and a toilet. Get the water leak mess done!! Oh hire a contractor for the stuff we aren't going to do.

Long term, organize the study/craft room. Add shelving. Paint.

Do something with my great room walls. No clue what to do.

Being creative and getting organized will help with the blue mood I have been in.

Here is a thread I started with a great book to read on organizing. Is this okay to put this here??

I VA is picking up donations next Monday so I know this week my plan is to go through clothing that doesn't fit/don't want and get it out of the house.

Then start working on the other areas of the house to make more space in the rooms that we tend to pile up the things we aren't using anymore or don't want.

For me the list is long. I will start small and keep adding as I get some things done.

I need to really deep clean my kitchen.
Paint kitchen.
Finish remodeling the hallway bathroom.

We just moved 2 households into 1. The one I came from had more storage and the one I have moved to has less storage but more living space. PLUS, we celebrated Christmas right after the move so on top of boxes, we have Christmas stuff.

My DH has used this place as his bachelor pad for several years so you can imagine how filthy it is having a man clean it. I purchased some degreaser and will start working on cleaning today and tomorrow. I have noticed tons of boxes of "stuff" in the laundry room closet. We usually store tools, extra lightbulbs, and the like in there. My DH says I am a packvrat, which I am, but he has tons and tons of PVC pipe that I doubt he will ever use. So, I will be going through all the stuff in that closet and tossing out stuff we will not use to make room for stuff that we will. My DGS's closet is where we store Christmas stuff as well as photo albums. So, I will be organizing that. We have so much stuff that needs to be organized.
