Does that mean you have graduated DeBora?

I just read a tip yesterday on using PVC piping as planters for small plants, drilling holes in the pipe to fit the plant.

Way to go on graduating DeBora thats wonderful.
I need to get organized so badly here in my house because things have really gotten out of hand. I have went through the china cabinet in the dining room. It has two cabinets at the top both with three shelves and then two cabinets in the bottom with two shelves and three small drawers. I have went through my underwear drawers, four kitchen drawers, 10 kitchen cabinets, done some in the linen closet and the pantry. I have tons more to go and everything needs to be deep cleaned. Its still hard for me about bending down and then trying to get up trying to be careful not to hurt myself but maybe a little at a time will help. If I didn't have to worry about cooking, washing and everyday things and just organize I think I could get more done. Good luck girls on getting things organized in your homes this year.

Jean, what about before everyone else leaves for the day for them to bring 3-6 drawers/boxes to the kitchen/dining room table so you can sit and sort them out. Then when DH and the kids get home they can put them back for you.

I know I have so much "clutter" that DH wants to just bag everything up but I keep telling him you can't do that because we haven't kept up with the filing of tax & other important papers you have to look at what the stuff is.

My goal is to remove the old homestead from our property , all I can think of is the Beverly Hillbillys but the building is worse than their cabin. We use it for storage and we are going to have a huge old house sale . Then it will be burnt down by the fire dept for practice.

Anyone up for an organizing challenge for 2012? I've started some but need some inspiration to keep me motivated. So far I have gone through the pots and pans in the kitchen and tossed plastic storage containers that had no matching lids. I also donated some ref. books that I no longer used and some sheets that didn't fit the bed well. The craft/hobbie room is next and that is a little more difficult. I got a tall bookcase and am using the three lower shelves for craft supplies but am having a difficult time keeping it neat and organized with my scrapbook papers, rubber stamps, etc.

I have a bunch of clothes to donate. Time to start tossing the big shirts and tank tops. LOL

I have dug out my master cleaning list too. We are going to start doing laundry a different way.

Thanks Bluebird. You have a master cleaning list? I'm trying to do a little at a time so I don't get overwhelmed and give up. I forgot to mention that I had cleaned out the sock drawers a few weeks ago and kept a few odd socks that I finally tossed yesterday since the matching socks never showed up in the laundry. Yesterday I rearranged shelves on two different bookcases in two different rooms and they look much better. I also sorted through some magazines and am going to donate or toss if nobody on freecycle wants them.
