Connie, be sure to look at the laws for your state. If you print out any paperwork, print out papers that has your state's name on them.

Connie...It might be easier for him to go to a lawyer that way He can discuss what he wants. They do have forms on line but they charge a small fee most of them.
The lawyer will have a copy of the Will and Power Of Attorney in case the original is destroyed. For one person it should not be that expensive. You can have Power Of Attorney if He agrees and is talking to You. Make sure He has Power Of Attorney For Health and a Living Will.
If you can go with Him or discuss what He wants without His Girlfriend there You will not be left out of your inheritance.

Thanks Sueanne. He has NO money. I think he has been helping gf with 'her' debt. Her son used her cc and charged something like $20,000 to $30,000..... the rest of the family will not have anything to do with ds but in her eyes he is perfect. Once dad dies, no more of his money will be bailing her out. Her dd can do that. As it looks I may have to pay for some of the paperwork. I do have a program with everything I/he needs on it. I printed everything out today. He can change it if he doesn't want it done X way and I can print it out again. As for doing anything without the gf around fat chance. Once dad dies, we are done with gf. Is she after him for money .... no. She and he both live in the 1950s..... she needs a man to take care of her. I do think they would have gotten married but she needs the Navy benifts. Dad will not have anything to do with a living will. they went to gf's insurance person and were told living will do nothing after death. DUH...... living will. You need it before you die. Gf says so..... no way. My dad lacks the ability to think for himself. I think I have everything else copied off. I found a personal papers organizer too.... for everything else I will need. Insurance, house deed, banks accounts..... nothing legal about this paper but it may make everything easier.
