kids growing up, what to keep what to toss

How do you determine what to keep of your kids things and what to toss?We have all the boys john deere toys, the legos, marble works. I know we have boxes of farm toys. Dd is trying to sell her barbies and dolls. She doesn't want to keep them. We are keeping the huge barbie doll house my uncle made her. What do you keep?

I only have kept some old baby dresses and maybe 1 quilt. As far as toys go I will get rid of them but my youngest is only 6 years so I have some of the toys that the other 2 kids have used.

Oh and I have kept keepsake stuff to try and make like a memory quilt like old brownie vests too.Stuff like that.

I have kept some toys from my kids when they were younger. I kept the little tykes kitchen, stroller, etc. I have alot of polly pockets and some dolls and matchbox cars. I am glad I did keep some things. I have 2 granddaughters now. I get the stuff out(age appropate) when they come visit.

I kept the craddle that all my kids slept in. Now both my granddaughters have slept in it also.

Like Mish said I kept things like girl scout and boy scout badges, trophy things like that. Our church gives each sunday school class a figurine for a manger at christmas. So I have the full set for each kid now. I have boxed them up in 4 boxes and have there names on them. When they have a place of there own someday. I will give them to them.
