  • That planner should be very helpful, wish I had it back when both sons were getting married!
  • My husband and I got married on July 29th and it had been so hot that week. We held our breath that it would cool down a bit. We were married in Maine in a Church that was built in 1810 and it had boxes instead of pews. A pump organ , it was really nice. Th Pastor said not to do many flowers because it took away from the quaintness of the Church. We had white bows on the boxes and one big candle bouquet of flowers on the table in front with the unity candle. it was beautiful. We had a sliced meat platter that we made up ouselves, bought rolls, made finger sandwiches which you could cut into little hearts. Also our friends offered to bring things like potato salads, casseroles, beverages, etc. One of our friends took a video of our wedding and reception and all we had to do was buy the vhs tapes, and another took pictures with her 35 mm and we bought the films and developed them. this saved us a lot of money. For table cloths we bought just plain white sheets and had bowls of flowers at different places on the tables. Hope this might help. But, the best thing is let you friends get involved and help because they usually want to.
