10th Wedding Anniversary

Hi all,

We never had a wedding reception as such, so we always planned that for our 10th anniversary we'd throw ourselves a party very similar to a wedding reception to celebrate the first 10 years of our marriage!

Anyway, it's going to be 10 years in 2010 and I can NOT wait! I've been thinking about this and looking forward to it since our wedding.

We're just starting the planning now. We arent going to spend too much on it, just a party in the evening and maybe dinner first with close friends and family... First thing on my list "to-do" is to find a venue. Our house is too small, and so is our garden to have it at home, so we're going to have to hire somewhere.

Oooo... I'm so excited! I love planning parties!

Congrats.

My parents didn't have a wedding or reception so my parents had a huge party for there 50th last year. My mom had the dinner at a local VFW hall. They did the food buffet style. My parents renewed there vows with all of us there.

Savor the moments you got together and be thankful for them
When in 2010 will this special occasion be?

do you have a friend that has a house that is larger enought you could do it over there
or a parent's house you could throw the party at?

We're celebrating our 20th on July 25,09, and our house is way to small so we're using our church's pavillion. We're renewing our vows in the church and then moving outside. It's going to be a small buffet style reception with all of our friends and I'm making all the food and our cake.
