The morning started off, chilly, gray and windy. The skys cleared up in the afternoon, the wind died down and it was beautiful out. The food turned out wonderful. Even the four layer cake I made! The ceremony was short, a prayer or two, our vows and we were done. It was so nice. We had to use a flim camera since our batteries for our digital wouldnt work. Dd didn't take as many pictures as I wanted here too but we have a few. Dad took pictues but only of his gf and her family. (roll eyes) My one gf didn't get to come down. We were disapointed that very few from dh's job came. I had a feeling that would happen. The was a importand Huskers game on later. I think dh needed to see that there is really very little for us here. Does that make sense? Also laughing, dh's family came and were so surprised that we have a life with others. One friend and his wife were here and we tried to spend a lot of time with them. He is battling cancer and doesn't look very well. Dh's family seemed surpirsed and shocked to realized we do have people that love us. We have a life without them. In a way this was a celebration and a way of starting to say goodbye to this community and look forward to something else. I will get the picture developed tomorrow or Monday.
Don't stay were you are tolerated, go where you are celebrated!
