new neighbourhood

The new neighbourhood we settled into had an ideal location for my son .It`s in the country, and with 16 acres ,lots of possibilities!!!All the neighbours seemed real friendly!!!.One lady came over to introduce herself, and offer some advice about the place ,i found she had too much to say negatively about past owners. This lady has 3 horses ,plenty of goats and hens. She invited Ryan to come over anytime. This is sort of like a trailor park, but lots of land ,and only six lots on 150 acres. We were not here long before the gossip started. One person talking bad about the other. They are all pretty negative people ,not what i would have imagined. It`s too sad!! We pretty much keep to our side now,not wanting to be pulled into that.I am enjoying all the fresh air ,and working in my gardens. We plan on fostering some horses in the near future, should be interesting. Hugs Trish

Hi and Welcome Trish to FC!!Unfortunately those kinds of things happen EVERYWHERE! I know this because years ago we managed an apartment complex, because the rent was free and we were saving for a house or condo of our own. Anyhow all of them(except maybe a handful) would be real nice to your face and stabbed you in the back when you werent around.Even now where we live this goes on,and its usually the ones that have the most problems of their own or just love to start trouble that do it.
I just try tp be polite and wave HI but I know because they are like that I dont want to be friendly. Now my dh(lol) on the other hand talks to everyone, and I tell him watch what you say to them .Another thing you will probably notice its more the WOMEN that do this and not so much the men!I would just do as you and stay in the garden and talk to the plants, lol at least they wont gossip about you!
Hugs Sandie

Nosy/Gossipping Neighbors!

I know way too well about those neighbors that love to gossip! We live in a nice neighborhood with many stay at home moms. Most have nothing better to do than gossip about one another! The best thing to do is be nice while not putting yourself in the mix!
