Biscuits made in a Food Processor

    This is from a really old General Electric cookbook for it's processor most likely came with the machine back in the day when they still gave our hard back cookbooks.

    2 cups all purpose flour
    1 tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 cup butter of margarine, chilled cut in 3 pieces
    2/3 cup milk

    Preheat over to 450 F. Position knife blade in bowl, add flour, baking powder salt and butter. Process until particles are fine about 15 seconds.

    With Processor running, add milk all at once through the chute.

    Process until dough forms into a ball, about 7 seconds. Dough will be slightly sticky. Knead 10 times on a flour surface. Pat or roll out 1/2 inch thickness for high biscuits, 1/4 inch for thin crusty biscuits. Cut into round s with a 2 inch floured cutter or glass of the same size. Place close together on a ungreased cookie sheet and bake until golden brown. 10 to 12 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 12 high or 24 thin crusty biscuits
