What I'm making for my mother from my kids..

This year I bought a craft apron at Michael's and some fabric paints. I am going to "paint" my kids hands with the fabric paint and have them stamp the apron with their handprints. I bought lavender paint for Kathryn's handprints and pink for Laurens. I know my mother will love it!

That's a great idea We did this with a sweatshirt for my MIL one year, we did the kid's feet instead of their hands. Then I put this saying across it:

"My Grandkids Walk All Over Me"

She loved it and still wears it, we gave it to her almost 5 years ago

Sweatshirt

I love the idea of the sweatshirt. My mother has a bunch of gifts from the grandkids all together unforunately I have always been left out since my daughter has only been around for one other mothers day. Maybe this year she can actually participate. I love the idea thanks.....

Dish Towels

What did you do for the dishtowels with their handprints. Did the paint not come off in the wash? What did you use? Meaning what type of paint without making a mess and keeping it? Please let me know. Thanks.

Cute ideas!

What a bunch of great ideas!!

My step son is making my mother a book of himself. We used cardstock to make book and attached pictures of him all insude it then he is decorating with crayons, pens, stickers, etc. Kind of like a mini scrapbook card.

I used the old fashioned lint free cotton towels, not terry towels. I can't remember the specific paint, but it was in the small bottles like you can find at AC Moore, Michael'setc. Read and make sure it can be used on fabric. I used a paint pen for the writing. I have used mine in the kitchen and they have gone through the wash with bleach and I've had no problems!
