Hi All, I pay everything w/ CREDIT CARD!
My bills, except morg. that's considered a cash advance. I haven't changed my spending either. I pay my cable-internet,electric,phone,doctor visits,fastfood,restaurants-plus the tips, ebay items, hotel stays, clothes, gifts, gas for my car, giftcards, groceries,my waterpark passes and then I buy pay cash from the park that's 10% off. You can do this with most large parks like Carowinds, and Disney. They don't advertise it because of the loss of revenew for them I guess. I only use a debit for Aldi, or cash. I only write checks for my credit card bills, and trash pick-up"they don't have credit card usage yet." All my bills are auto. taken out every month. I've yet to pay interest on a credit card in years!
One just has to know what's coming in and what's going out. I just got a free 2 night stay at a hotel in Myrtle Beach. I get 6% cash back w/ my driver's edge card for gas purchases. I have one free Cruise, and working one for my DH. I got a 10% discount buying clothes and perfume at Cato's Credit spent 31. something, and got 2 perfumes, 2 pairs of shoes and a shirt. Then when I got my card I called and cancelled it! I can sign up for it again in about a year. Mainly because I only splurge when it's treat. I use cash for yard-sales, flea-markets, church, etc. Debit carding will get you in trouble if you don't make sure you deduct it from what you have in your checking account. Seen it happen to a few friends. With credit cards I get a statement on what I have spent and where. LOVE IT! At the end of the year you can get a yearly statement to see what you spend most on etc.
Anyways, Have any advice, or ?'s let me know. Have a great weekend!
