SAT's

I think this is the right section

My DD is in Yr 6 key stage 2 and is just going to sit her SAT's next week.

She is a little apprehensive about it, but not overly bothered.

When is your child's SAT's and how is your child handling the revision etc?

My DS is in Yr 3 key stage 2 and sitting his week after, but it isn't bothering him at all

Madmum, I am guessing that in your country the SAT is a different test than ours.

In the USA, the SAT is the Scholastic Aptitude Test that is administered by the College Board. It is a college entrance exam. Students who are ages 16 and 17 take it because they are preparing for high school graduation.

How old are your children? And is the SAT a test they take each year? (End of year exam?)

My 2 children that are taking their SATS are 8 and 11

key stage 1 = infants
key stage 2 = juniors
key stage 3 = secondary

Sats are sat at the end of each year for juniors. At the end of juniors (yr6 aged 11) the exams get sent away to get marked
The results show whether your child has reached the national standard or not

My son has been taking his EOGs (End of Grade Tests) this week. They tested in science, math and reading/language arts.

His field days were today at school so he was so happy to not have any studying to do last night.

Aww I hope all went well for him

My Daughter is pleased they are all over now. The school also gets graded on their achievements by the grade the YR6 pupils get.

We have got her grades now
she achieved a level 4 in most her subjects which is te national average as to what is expected in the country and a level 5 in her science. We are very proud of her and she is so pleased
