I was saddened when Meg rang me this morning (Saturday 10.30 am Melb time).
Margaret certainly had a gift of caring and encouragement. She also had strong faith, and it is that same faith that will have been with her and given her peace in the days since her surgeries.
Margaret would, I am sure, want us to enjoy and share the memories of her wit, wisdom, humour, counsel and little acts of kindness and encouragement. How will we ever know now what day we are celebrating? And who will share Maxine with us in quite the same way?

Girls, could I encourage you to perhaps use this thread to share those memories with each other? I believe it would help us all, ands then perhaps we could send the pages to Joellyn? Meg said she (Joellyn) was just amazed at the extent of Margaret's FC and Internet friends and was "blown away" by the support, e-cards etc.

Vale, Margaret, now in the presence of the Lord Jesus and her family gone before.. God be with your family here.

Psalm 23.1 "The Lord is MY Shepherd"
I believe that was Margaret's knowledge too.

What a good idea Lynne.

My memories of Margaret are of her smiling face, her helpfulness, her cheerfulness and her love of life, family and friends.

She will truly be missed by us all.

Love, hugs and prayers to her family.

I sit here with tears also.
Margaret had a sense of humor and much knowledge about many things. She was a very fair person and always had a kind word to say.
I bought a couple of froggies that I was going to send to Margaret when she came home. Now I will sit them by my computer. Everytime I see them I will think of her sitting here with me. Telling a funny story and having a cuppa. She was truly a wonderful lady and one of a kind.

God bless you Margaret. I know you are looking down upon us. Prayers go out to Joellen and all Margaret's family.

I am shocked and saddened by Margaret's passing.

I can't stop crying, not just because I've lost a dear friend, but for everyone who will not be blessed by her gentle caring presence.

Margaret was the very first person I had written correspondence with here on FC.
I still have that card and letter, but I can't look at them right now.

I feel so terrible. I didn't know she was that sick.

My condolences to her family.
Margaret was a grand lady and she is missed.

I, too, am sad and shocked. I will miss her shuttle sightings and telling us what day it is.
My prayers and condolences to her family.

Does anyone know if there is a way to give tidbits about Margaret that made our life so wonderful and that made her such a wonderful friend to her family? I am thinking that we could start a new thread in which we could post some of our greatest memories of Margaret so that they could be sent to her family. What does everyone else think?

I am still beside myself. I still remember how comforting she was when I lost Jet-Bo last October.

Debora,I think it was said on here to voice our rememberences and the whole thread would be forwarded.

I am saddened that Margaret won't be on FC anymore, she will be missed. I remember what a great secret sister she was. She sent such nice gifts with her love. I have a florida t-shirt that will always remind me of her. I also traded Christmas ornies with her I think...I can't think real straight right now. I am happy that she is in God's hands now and is free of the bonds of this earth.

Jrz was a great friend and comfort. A lady who shared wisdom with comfort and humour.
I remember the story she shared recently about the frog in the potplant!
She used to send photos to my ds of rockets and shuttle launches. We will miss her, but I am happy she is free from pain now.
