The best meatloaf recipe ever

I was a latchkey kid and my parents were divorced. We ate LOTS of convenience food growing up because Mom had to work 2 jobs to pay the bills. She'd come home in the evening from job #1, we'd eat mac and cheese and a Swanson dinner, and she'd be off again to job #2.

It wasn't that Mom couldn't cook, she could, she just never had time. So I didn't have the luxury of learning how to cook from her. In fact, I didn't do much more than make grilled cheese and cereal until my last year in high school when I opened a cookbook my dad had at his house. I tried making a couple of things in the book, and did pretty good, but there was a meatloaf recipe I tried, and promptly failed at. You see, for many years we ate meatloaf made with ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs and a packet of McCormick meatloaf seasoning. I never new there was such a thing as meatloaf from scratch!

As years passed, Mom passed away, I moved out of Dad's house, got married, had kids, etc. While I've happily experimented with many different recipes over the years, that meatloaf experience from my teenage years kept me making meatloaf with McCormick packets. That is, until I found the best meatloaf recipe ever in February of this year.

This recipe changed everything for me. I'll never buy another meatloaf seasoning packet... ever. If you are looking for a delicious meatloaf recipe, I urge you to try this. It's really fabulous and it holds a permanent spot in my recipe collection now!

I have the best meatloaf recipe ever posted on my blog. There are several notes from me, so i thought the link would be easier
