Thumbs up meatloaf patties, maybe?!

I dont have a name for these, I came up with it when I had ground beef to use up. My picky family liked them.

1lb ground beef
1 egg
1/4-1/2 c chopped onion
bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
1 can condensed cr mushroom soup
1/2 soup can milk

Mix all except soup and milk, adding just enough bread crumbs to hold mixture together. Form into thick patties, and brown in non stick skillet over med-high heat. (may want to spray skillet with cooking spray). Mix soup and milk together and pour over patties. Cover and simmer on med-low for about 1/2 hr, turning patties once and stirring "sauce", a few times. Serve with extra sauce on top.
I made mashed potatoes and put "sauce" on top of those, and corn. For dessert, i made a pineapple dump cake. This was a very frugal menu.

Hi ..I make something a lot similar and call them Italian hamburgers...I use the Progresso Italian bread crumbs and a small amt of catsup...less onions... and make the patties...and just fry like regular hamburgers...
do mine on the George Foreman grill and get rid of the fat..
yours sound good..may try them soon..

When my Mom would be planning meatloaf for dinner and got a late start she would form the meat into individual mini loafs which cooked in about 20 min instead of a big pan which took over 60 min to cook.

Me, too. From my youth, we called them Salisbury Steaks. Good with gravy or ketchup.
