My DH does do the pillow over my face; but it doesn't work! I do wake up; he pokes me ; I wake up, he rolls me over, I wake up; but all in all as soon as I'm asleep again I snore! No matter how I sleep; if I'm asleep I snore. He goes to the La-Z-Boy quite a bit and sometimes I do. Even though it has to be annoying it doesn't stop me either, just something I do if I sleep!~ I snore no matter where I fall asleep, cahir even: I bet if I could slepp standing up I'd snore! LOL I I know it isn't really funny to the one not snoring!

Please tell him to get a sleep study done! They are finding out more and more about sleep. I had the surgery for the sinus and still need the cpap machine and they are very easy to get uses to! Sleep is something we all need no matter what!

Donna, I have to ask you. Now that Mark has had a stroke, does he still snore? Is snoring now a great thing to hear knowing that he is alive or do you still want to pop him when he snores?

I have been married to my husband for 17 years, and he too snores like a freight train. It is sooooooooooo bad, that I finally set myself up in another room. Now I can sleep peacefully, though I do tend to talk in my sleep. Love my hubby to pieces, just cannot stand the snoring.

We have been sleeping in the same bed since Marks stroke more than we have our entire married life!

He does NOT snore any more!!!!
I had to go back and reread this entire thread because I didn't remember much of it. I just told Mark about this thread and how Val suggested a sleep study since she said snoring is related to stroke...................Who Would Have Ever Thought that 4 years later I would be coming back to this thread and that really happening.

Now, Mark is also 20 pounds lighter since the stroke so, I am guessing that is why he no longer snores.

So many years I slept in the spare bedroom because he snored like a freight train.

hugs, train

Donna, I am so glad that Mark doesn't snore any more. But, I bet you both would rather him snore that have the stroke.
