Thumbs up Divorce lawyers

Do most divorce lawyers allow you to pay with credit card? or do most accept only cash or check?

My friend is filing for divorce and she doesnt have much money but would be able to use her credit card.

Janithtaylor, first, I want to officially welcome you to Family Corner! Be sure to stop in the Introduce Yourself forum so that others may welcome you! Also, make sure you check out all the divorce forums for support as well. Your friend may also find terrific support there as well.

Thankfully, I have had no experience with divorce lawyers. I would imagine that there are some that accept credit cards and some that would accept property. I am sure none of them would charge her if she called them on the phone and asked what payment methods they accepted. Good luck to your friend!

Thumbs up Re : divorce lowyers

I work for a one attorney firm, and for a lot of us smaller guys, the monthly fees associated with having the credit card system are not worth it, so we don't have it. If her attorney is one like this, she can always get a cash advance at a bank, or use one of the cash advance checks the credit card for sending payment. {Edited by Assistant Administrator for spam.
