I understand what you mean. We don't use coupons nearly as much as before, good benefit for my fellow coupon clubbers but I do still use a few for things like tp, deoderant, dog food, shampoos, etc. and of course, Boca & Morningstar. I have recently started trying some store brands, meijers diet cola (can not tell the difference between it and Pepsi) and Meijers brand French Roast. I buy these two when there is no good sale on the name brands I use. We also prefer Meijers lemon twist (I think that's what it's called) over Fresca now. Meijers is a little higher priced on soda versus store sales, $2.09 but it's getting to the point where I am tired of chasing from store to store for one item or waiting a week for the next soda sale. Here they usually alternate, one week Pepsi products, one week Coke. I wish they'd just put one price and leave it alone.

OSI.......Were you aware that alot of the "store brands" are actually name brands in store packaging? I had the Winn Dixie store mgr. tell me years ago, that their Thrifty Maid Brand of potato chips, made by Frito-Lay.
I'm thinking that soda would be done the same way....either brand you buy, they still got your money!

Yes, I've heard that too and imagine Meijers may be the case on the soda since they are flat out advertising if you like Pepsi, you'll like Meijers diet cola. Just have to watch those prices and coupons. We eat alot less food than we used to, no processed or fast food and it seems like any time they have coupons for frozen veggies, it's always with a sauce which is a No No for us (sodium) so I just stock up at Gordons Food Service on those things.

I am new here from Canada.

Any canadians on this board?

I find that the best way to get
them is going to stores and
check the aisles.They often
have coupons pads attached
to certain shelves.You just have
to look more carefully and you'll
find lots of them.

Second best way for me is
sending emails to companies
tellling them your comments
on their products.They usually
are very responsive and
send you some coupons by mail.

Also, the inserts in the weekend
papers. Here,in Canada we do not
have many of them.

Also, form your own coupons club
in your area. Exchange value for value,
it is a lot more fun and people take it
more seriously that way.

Hope it helps.

I bought a magazine yesterday at Walmart called, All You, and it was loaded with good coupons. Also had some good recipes in it, and good reading material. Thought I would pass this along to you all
