I have 4 containers... one is a little basket in the bathroom where dh puts his wallet, and throws his change on the shelf, I pick up the change and put it in the basket. All change that is on the entertainment center or tables gets put into this basket. When that basket gets half way full, it goes into a tall decorative glass in our bedroom where again change dh leaves on his bedside stand goes. When that gets full it goes to our pickle jar in the basement where our laundry room is. When it's full it goes into a big old droopy eared dog piggy bank that belonged to my dh when he was a little boy. I haven't gotten it full yet will be curious to see how much we'll save when it's full.

Anna, that is so funny to see you describe your changes with change! I think you might have a legitimate new exercise program! And it is so neat to have something from childhood...wish I still had the big glass pig I gave to a friend for a birthday present. I was in Michigan and had to travel back to PA. The pennies in the bottom of the 2 ft x 3 ft x 1 ft pig jar jingled and slid and rattled music all those 9 horus of driving. Money does travel doesn't it?

LOL! I have to keep shuffling it around or dh eventually gathers it up and takes it to the car wash $7.00.

I forgot I also have a beaded evening bag missing it's handle in one of my desk drawers that I keep change in, usually when I sell a candle and the person gives me change instead of dollars.

piggy bank

I have a ceramic pink pig that sits on my desk and stares at me, he's so cute. I have a captain morgan bottle that I use also, I had it 3/4's full and was able to buy my plane ticket and use the rest for spending last august when my husband and I went to vegas for our 25th wedding anniversary

My latest "bank" is a fairly large FROG with a "open" mouth that is pretty wide open so now ALL pennies go in there and once we have moved it will sit on my front porch as part of "deco" there and the pennies will help keep it from turning over etc. And NO ONE knows the pennies are in there except Gina and Judy lol. Love my banks

Thumbs up

we have a big boy scout popcorn tin that we have recycled into a change jar. We had been saving change for about a year and emptied it out and had a little over $45.00 in it. We used it to go out for dinner something we rarely do.
Now we have started over saving again. I also have a smaller boy scout popcorn tin that I have on top of my dryer for all the change I find in the washer.

My laundry fairy left me $11.00 yesterday! Of course, none of us could remember whose it was but we all claimed it as ours anyways! I bought a milkshake and burger for my one kid because she had a migraine with still more to go in the evening. Eating will forestall said migraine. Think I will keep some snacks in the car. Still have some money left over though.
