OSI--

Have you read about autumnmum 2002's coupon-swapping club? She is so busy trading coupons between her, and others since she began she barely ha time to do the posting she used to do. She LOVES it. She has been using coupons the way you referred to for years. She has gotten many things FREE. I should know, as she is my daughter, and I have been with her on some of her shopping trips, and by the time she pays for her things, she has a rceipt a good three feet long. The employees know her well now, and the meat manager has a job trying to clean out-dated meats from his cases before she gets to them but he doesn't always win. --Keeps him on his toes!! LOL!

Hey, I only spent $20.00 this week..This is a first for me. I run my week Fri. to Fri. So I am doing great...only had to pick up bread and milk this week and no surprises! Whoppee!!!

Hi Blondie-

Yes I did sign up with Carol right after she posted and it has worked out really well, soon to be better as my husband has been on a special diet and our food choices were extremely limited and will continue but not as bad. I went to Aldi's last night and bought powdered milk 20 gallons for $6.99 it was my first time trying powdered milk, I mixed it with powdered slimfast instead of skim milk and I totally could not tell the difference and that is a substantial savings! A gallon of milk here unless its on sale is around $2.79 X 20=$55.80 versus $6.99 savings of $48.81 and I don't have to run to the store for milk every week or so. I'm sure there are other stores with comparable prices on powdered milk but that was the cheapest I've seen it, it will be good at Christmas too when I made up gifts of canisters of Hot Chocolate Instant Mix. Keep the ideas and suggestions coming ladies and gentlemen, I look forward to learning more ways to save. I also ordered the book previously mentioned here on making your own mixes. Thanks.

Years ago I also used powered milk. I reached the point where I found it less expensive to mix it half and half with our regular milk, but did it when the kids were in school. If they had seen me doing that, they would not have liked it, and I figured what they didn't know wouldn't bother them!!
I drank milk, too, and didn't mind it a bit. I still drink milk, but not as much. For a period of time I drank two quarts a day.--Love it.
