Slow Cook Asian Chicken

Slow Cook Asian Chicken


Ingredients:
  • 1 broiler/fryer chicken (3-1/2 to 4 pounds), cut up
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
Directions:

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the chicken in oil on both sides. Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, water, garlic and ginger; pour over chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until chicken juices run clear. Remove chicken to a serving platter sprinkle with almonds. Yield: 4-6 servings.

MMMM, this sounds delicious! I have to work this coming week and am going to make this on Monday! I think I will serve it with some Jasmine rice. Thanks!

I tested this recipe and it was wonderful! I did make some rice to go with it. It was easy to make and everyone loved it. 5 Stars to Sandie!!

Felicia glad you liked it, I actually tried this a different way as well, I marinated boneless chick breasts,(cut in strips) in the sauce, overnight, then did a stir fry, the were real good that way too. HUGS
