Turkey & Stuffing with Onion Glaze

as posted by Debbie F. in the February 2005 What's for Dinner? thread.

Turkey & Stuffing with Onion Glaze

1 TBSP butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 TBSP apple jelly
1 (6 oz.) pkg. turkey flavor one-step dressing mix
3/4 cup water
1 (2 to 2 1/2 lb.) boneless skinless turkey breast half

Melt butter in medium skillet over med. heat. Add onion & cook for 4-5 minutes or til tender. Stir jelly into mixture. Cook an additional 1or 2 minutes longer.

Spray 4 to 6 quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place stuffing mix in bottom of sprayed slow cooker. Drizzle with water; mix gently. Sprinkle turkey breast half with salt & pepper if desired. Place on top of stuffing mix. Spoon onion mixture over turkey and spread evenly.

Cover; cook on low setting for 5 to 6 hours.

Cut turkey into slices. Serve stuffing topped with turkey slices.

Even if it is not a holiday, I usually serve cranberry sauce on the side.

Enjoy!!
