Atkin's Blueberry Muffin Mix ....

I made the Atkins Blueberry Muffins from their mix this afternoon and it wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be. Has anyone else made any of the other Atkins products?

I made the cornbread!!!

I nearly thought I was cheating-lol. I ate it for breakfast a few days...I have their brownie mix. I might make it tonight, I don't know. I've also had their pancake mix... it tastes funny but better than the porkrind pancakes recipe alot of people make instead of buying the mix. I also bought the Atkins baking mix to make pancakes, waffles, muffins, and biscuits...I haven't used it yet. I'll let ya know how it works out...

Patrice - thanks for sharing the sites! Do they have the Atkins products at Wal*Mart? If they do, where would I find them? I found some low carb stuff at one store here in town, but didn't see anything I wanted. I did get a loaf of low carb bread and some low carb chocolate ice cream oh, and some candy. Yum!

Gosh you guys are makin me hungry!

I'm having a pork chop with snow peas and carrots in butter and some ice cream for dessert.

Carol

I got the wraps on netrition.com LaTortilla Factory Original (Wheat) and they have garlic and herb. My husband went crazy over them. I've made tuna salad sandwiches for lunch which have been great. Only 3 carbs. The cost was 2.99 for 10 wraps.

I've tried the atkins banana nut muffins. Not too bad.

Our Walmart is now carrying a whole line of low carb stuff as well as a lot of Atkins stuff too. They have dedicated 1/2 a shopping isle to all of these products.

Ive also found their stuff at health food stores.

My Walmart isn't selling much

They said it wasn't selling. This local store is where I got the most. I did get some tortillas made from Mission tortillas, the regular tortilla company at the grocery store...of course there's a Mission tortilla company here in Pueblo.

Songberries, watch out for the sugar alcohols in some of the candy products. For some people it causes them to stall weight loss. I ate 2 one day and my face puffed up. If I limit it to one once in awhile I'm fine...everyone is different but if you notice you're not losing as much, look at what you're eating...it's better to eat meat, eggs, and veggies...and to use the low carb products sparingly.

Tonight for dinner is chuck roast (buy 1 get 1 free at the store) in the crockpot with garlic and beef broth. Cauliflower and Broccoli steamed in chicken broth yummy. For dessert Atkins ice cream with whipped cream.

Patrice - thanks for the info. I haven't tried the candy yet. I had some ice cream, and it was wonderful! I noticed a lot of the low carb bars at the store, are they like a meal replacement? I think I'd rather have a meal. lol

I had sausage and eggs for breakfast this morning. Mmm, the sausage was so good.
