Here's the link to the low-carb section of the Recipe Exchange Thread. This may give you some other good menu ideas. Shawn had contributed a lot of them.

There are also several threads, that are now inactive that are about low carb diets, in the Healthy Living Forums that you might want to look over... maybe some of those ladies may want to lend a voice.

If you'd like, I'd be happy to merge all the older threads together, to make them easier to navagate for information... Let me know.

VAL-Congratulations!

Congratulations Val* on being appointed a moderator...another great choice Amanda!

Val, I would love it if you could merge all the files for the low-carbing...I am just starting this way of eating and I surely can use some ideas and guidance!

How are you doing? Email me when you get a few moment.

Love, janet

Whats for Low-Carb Dinner???

I made a low-carb pizza...using the hamburger as my crust, sauce, cheese, mushrooms and ham. I can't wait for it to come out of the oven.

After much confusion ( and I appologize for I caused a lot of it) I wanted to let everyone know that the " Whats for dinner --low carb" thread has found a new home. It will be located under the LOW CARB RECIPES in the RECIPE EXCHANGE FORUM. You can find it here:

http://www.familycorner.com/forums/s...&threadid=9326

This was started by Leasmom.

I will transfer all of the previous posts from this thread over to there and we can continue our low carb talks there. This way you dont have to search all over the place to find a post--one of the biggest complaints from people.

I wont combine any threads from the WEIGHT LOSS FORUMS because they refer to specific weight loss plans and not just general talk.

Also, you can continue to post under the regular "Whats for Dinner" thread too. I wont be moving anything that is posted there.

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

Happy Low-Carbing!!

Tami

I never know ahead of time!

I need some more veggies but I have to wait until Friday to go to the store to get it. I have none in the house!!! I need more meat too. I lasted 3 wks with the meat I bought and I didn't buy as much as I usually do because beef prices were horrendous. I hope they aren't as high now.

I still have chicken legs, hamburger and some chicken thighs...some hot dogs-(I know its not really low-carb) and ham-(Carb-free). Most of the stuff left in my house has carbs, lots and lots of carbs...for dd.

I want something different but we'll see... maybe some baked Jamacian jerk chicken...
