What are you favorite low carb treats?

One of my favorite treats at night is drinking a cup of decaf. hot tea or herbal tea with some Splenda and a little heavy cream. It's a nice creamy sweet treat that doesn't throw you off track.

What "treats" do you like to indulge in?

Another really good treat is pork rind nachos. Put a few nachos on a plate, sprinkle some shredded cheddar cheese on top. Cook in the microwave to melt cheese (watch carefully). Spoon a couple of TBSP salsa (watch carbs!) on top. This is really good using jalapeno cheese.

Has anyone ever tried the popular low carb danish that's talked about on low carb forums? I'm going to try it over the weekend.

I'm right there with you on the decaf tea, but mine come in flavors - Eggnog and Gingersnap are the two left from Christmas, and then there is this Blueberry fritz, and pomegranate something. Also Chamomile. I do have caffeinated tea - Earl Gray, Black, and an orange - but those are rarities. Sometimes I will make a pot of decaf coffee and spend part of the week drinking it - just for fun I sometimes add Cinnamon. A small bowl of Kellogg's Berry / almond / chocolate, cornflakes or General Mills Cheerios / multigrain / Honeynut flavored cereals is another low carb and cholesterol snack. Also fruits and vegetables. We have made a concious effort not to have any boxed and canned items that have more than 25 carbs in them, so almost everything in our cupboards / freezer is low.

Glad to hear that I have another buddy who's low carbing!

Gingersnap tea sounds yummy.

I am going to start low carbing soon. All the stress is making he hungry all the time and gain weight. So, I am going to have to get on a diet. It'll be at least a week, but I am in the planning stage right now. I would probably add jalapenos to the nachos, but that is just me. I don't think you can every add too many jalapenos to anything. lol
