Yeah, I am kind of sad that all of our neighbors are so much older and keep to themselves, it would be fun to be in an active community with kids for emmy to play with... but I think I will not complain, because I would pick it over your fun situations!

I'm guessing that the french silk pie dd1 had to have today for her bday and the germ. choc. cake the neighbor brought over are not LC?...
I'm going to explode, but I just don't have willpower for that kind of thing. If its not in the house, I don't miss it.

chuckle Overdosing on Atkins cornbread

I couldn't help myself...I know it was 8 carbs per cornbread muffin but I ate about 6 of them and boy did I pay for it, along with that bun the other day...my stomach is sticking out and my pants are really tight and so now it'll take a week to undo 2 days of damage.

But the good news is that I bought my first coat at Kmart, in the women's section, and not at a speciality shop or in the big men's dept.- and it was cheap too. My old coat was a size 5X and I could barely squeeze into it. This one is a 3X, only because it was running small, and like I said my stomach is sticking out but it fits and will be comfortable. And it's a woman's coat...I get to be a woman again!!!

P.S. don't overdose on Atkins cornbread like I did...I just couldn't help myself...it was a good ole Southern meal...roast chicken, fresh cooked green beans and the cornbread...so I will have to put that item on my occcasional list-

Patrice did it taste like regular corn bread? I miss corn bread so much. Would it go into stuffing well ? Sorry you od on it. But I would have done the same thing. I wonder if it would freeze well. Then I could make it up and freeze it ad only take out one at a time.

Tastes like regular cornbread, more like Jiffy

but its good...and sinful if you ask me-LOL! I never got to try it in the dressing because I ate it all. I was supposed to make it but I didn't get that far, I'm sure it'll freeze well. I have no doubt it wouldn't.

Oh My God !!!!! I tried a new recipe.
Has anyone eaten Rutabaga??
Cut like french fries. Toss lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder. Bake 375 for about 30 mins. or until golden.
These taste just like french fries. I swear !!!!!!

Take care

Must be the week for o.d.ing

Same story here, only not on cornbread muffins, but on a baked potato. I cooked only one to split with my husband but he only wanted about 1/3 of it. I then split the remainder and my portion was to be only that half. DIDN'T WORK!

That was my very first taste of a baked potato since July 23rd, and I now know I can't handle it! I guess it goes into the same category as rice, which in my book is never!

The only way I could exercise portion control with those two items is to never start in the first place!

And me facing weigh in tomorrow morning!!

Sandie
