Since I am no longer having to work outside of my home I have been trying desperately to get rid of paper. I have two different sections in my computer for recipes.

One section I have titled "Recipes". Under that file I have folders for "APPETIZERS", "MAIN DISHES", "SNACKS" etc. I type recipes into individual Word Documents and after I save them I place them in their appropriate folders.

The other section I have I have titled "Cookbooks." I have actually put together a couple of small cookbooks so that is why I have the cookbook section. I have one cookbook section that I have titled "If It Ain't Easy I Ain't Cooking It" where I grouped together recipes that I have created myself. I just finished a cookbook section that I actually re-typed an e-book that was a recipe book.

The reason I like having my recipes in my computer is because I can do a "Search" and put in like "chicken, cheese, pasta" and find recipes with those specific ingredients.

My next cookbook??? I am going to be typing up a cookbook of my mom's recipes that I am calling "From My Momma's Table".

Great idea Tonya! Do you back all that up on disk? If your computer crashes you'll lose your whole collection
