Years ago, before cell phones, the magazine Family Circle or was it Good Housekeeping, had a wood project to make that was a drop down desk for keeping track of all those little things you mentioned Mindybean. The front of it, the side that showed when it was up was a blackboard, bulletin board, calendar. I thought it was a really neat way to have an office in a small space. When the front was dropped there was a chain to keep it at a 90 degree angle and so suitable for writing out bills on and the inside looked like all those pigeonholes in a rolltop desk.
