Weird Food Combos

Do your kids eat weird things? Do others wonder why you allow then to eat those combos?

Please share your "weird Foods" with us. Let us know we are not the only ones that eat these things.

I will start with a couple ...

My daughter loves to eat potato chips dipped in ketchup and/or BBQ sauce. When we are at the Rainforest Cafe she always dips her pizza in ketchup.

What are some of your child(rens) weird food preferences.

Hi Shawn

My son eats the weirdest sandwich combo that I heard of in a long time.......he likes p-nut butter & mozerella cheese together!

He also likes to dip his chips in ketchup too.

My 7yr old ds loves ranch dressing and will eat it on everything! He even likes to dip his fingers and lick them.

My dd's best friend loves to eat any kind of chips dipped in peanut butter.

My dh likes to take Ritz crackers and dip them into peanut butter and honey.

We all like strange combos--

When we took them out to eat when they were little, they liked their french fries dipped into their soda. They didn't have soda often at home so maybe it made it "special".

ketchup on mac and cheese, on mashed potatoes, and on chips.

DD likes hot sauce, or bbq sauce and saucy susan mixed on left over noodles for breakfast.

They like cream of tomato soup with a slice of cheese in it for breakfast-- my Mom says that's because I liked cream of chicken soup with Ritz crackers crumbled in for breakfast when I was little.

My youngest, age 6 likes his broccoli dipped in pickle juice.

We all like fries dipped in mayo.

I like white bread with peanut butter, a slice of cheese and mustard. Sounds weird, a friend of mine told me to try it, and I do like it!

Who's to say what out likes and dislikes should be, at least it's food!

Hi all

Everything is PICKLES. she eats them on toast, with cereal, mashed potatoes and I even caught her eating them on her ice cream. She is 8 and just loves pickles Do you think its because I ate them when I was PG with her?

shocking funny food

My kids dip their steak in ranch dressing and their corn dogs in maple syrup. # 1 on my gross out meter is the way my kids and husband spread oatmeal on toast and eat it. However they find it weird the way that I dip my grilled cheese in chicken soup.

Nothing strange about chips in ketchup. After all, most people dip fries in ketchup.
A local fast food place here gives out ranch dressing to dip your fries in. It's not too bad.
My all time weird combo I even taught my kids to's summer sausage on bread with miracle whip and peanut butter.

O.K., I've got to fess up. I taught my kids to put honey or even maple syrup on fried chicken! They love it! I did it when I was young and still do! Of course now you see honey dipped chicken advertised everywhere but actually adding honey at the table is great. The kids used to tell me they only liked the crust of fried chicken until I showed them how I like it.
Another great one is broken potatoe chips on vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup poured over all. My husband thought I was pregnant again when he saw me make that combination. My kids think its great too!
My daughter had me try sour cream on roast beef. It's great!
My husband doesn't enjoy any of these odd tastes and thinks we are all weird! He just doesn't seem to appreciate our adventurism. At least my kids are willing to eat and try different foods.

Sour cream is nice on corned beef also.
My favourite is vegemite and lettuce sandwiches and my boys like peanut butter on celery sticks (down the channel). Cheezels and vegemite, DH makes a mean potato crisp sandwich. When we go to the beach we take tomato sauce sandwiches and buy hot potato chips and have those for lunch. Yum.
