What's For Today's Packed Lunch, September 2007

School is in session or about to be! Log in with your lunches and we'll not get bored all year with all the new ideas we share!

Mine lately have included small containers of marinated tomatoes, sliced zucchini plain, popped corn caramel cakes, peanut butter sandwiches, applesauce, cold minted green beans, sliced landyeager venison sausage and cheese bits, iced tea, mint tea, baked beans (yes, cold, sorry!), fig bars, cheese balls (those salty ones), yogurt and peaches.

I have been practicing for my dd2 who doesn't like sandwiches, but I don't think any of this will appeal to her...at least I am using the garden produce!

Today my dss had ham & cheese on a bulkie roll, yogurt, mozarella cheese sticks, granola bars, a fruit cup, cheesy pretzels and orange juice.

I am glad this thread started up again 'cause I could use some new ideas!

DH now gets a packed lunch but he comes home to eat it on the deck so he can walk the little dog. It's been a divided plate of leftovers all week: sausage gravy, rice, carrots, green beans.

ok, wow! After reading some of yours, I feel like I'm starving my daughter! I packed a PB&J sandwhich, apple juice, and carrots. Plus they get a snack (strawberry cereal bar) and can have a bottle of water at their desk all day. The thing is, they only get 20 minutes to eat their lunch and my little 1st grader is a SLOW eater.

chasingbutterflies, my dks lunches are huge because I am packing them for teenage boys! Ds1 is 17 (almost 18) and ds2 is going to be 13 next week! I cannot believe how much two teenage boys can eat!

Today they have pb&j sandwiches on whole grain bread, yogurt, pringles, mozarella cheese sticks, bananas, fruit cups and granola bars with orange juice.
