Spinach Bourekas--Kids Cooking Contest Winner!
Spinach Bourekas
Tools needed:
mixing bowl
mixing spoon
baking sheet
pastry brush (to brush butter)
Ingredients:
1 pkg 10oz of frozen spinach thawed
1 pkg 8oz of feta cheese
1 pkg puff pastry cut in squares thawed
1/2 stick butter melted
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350*. In a large bowl, get feta cheese and crumble up in bowl. Next take thawed spinach and squeeze excess water in sink, put spinach in bowl. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Mix together. Take a large baking sheet brush with a coat with butter. Next on a flat surface place thawed puff pastry squares on dry surface place a spoonful of spinach mixture. Next fold over to enclose. Brush with butter and place on baking sheet. Repeat un til pan is full. Bake in oven 10-15 minutes until lightly browned. Eat them all up.
