blushing Back after 2 years

I joined here in 2011 but didn't ever become very active. I have found my "password" again after a fasion so thought it would be fun to participate. I live in Maine, but grew up in MA, am married, retired from various jobs through out the years, have a grown son and a daughter and one grand daughter. I love to read, cook, garden with perennials, walk and visit places in nature. We used to camp but not so much now. I like to travel when I can, but so far have not traveled out side the US except for Canada. I am not much of a techie but I'm trying. My daughter has loaned me her "Nook" so I can decide if I want to buy one. I guess I am just a bit intimidated by those things. We have a 10 year old cat and have had cats through the years but never a dog. I'm sure it will take me a while to navigate around this site, so be patient with me.

Newdaawn

Welcome Back, glad you remembered us. This site is fairly easy compared to some of the newer techy sites out there but if you get stuck, just ask.. we'll be happy to help.

Just wander around the forums and feel free to pop in on a conversation anytime.. we are a chatty bunch on here and always happy to have new members to share with.

You'll find me mostly in on the Frugal Living area.. What did you do frugal today section is where I hang out most but am also in charge of the craft area so if I can be of any help or guide you to something specific you are looking for, just pm me.

welcome back Newdaawn, I am glad you found us. I have a kindle that I love. once you get used to the Nook I'm sure you will use it more and more and enjoy it as much as I do my kindle.
I am bar_bar, a grandmother as well. I have 3 gkids from my daughter, one lives with his dad, and the girls lives with her. Their ages are 14, 13, and 11, hard to believe they are that old.
I also have another gd who is from my son but do not get to see her due to situations that I would not like to go into at this time.
I'm a widow since 09 and have step kids and grandkids, and even one great in my heart.
You can find me in the game area, as well a the friendship thread mostly, but I do bounce around and could find me elsewhere.
Enjoy your stay and hope you be with us for some time.

We do have a grandparent site on here, so drop in there and visit us on the friendship thread.

again welcome back.

Hi Newdaawn, so happy that you found your password again I missplaced my password many years ago, and searched my books over for it and so it took me about 2 weeks to finally find it...and now have been here many years and still loving it! Good luck working with the Nook, they are fun to have. Look forward to seeing you around here

Welcome back Newdaawn. I had a Kindle but I ended up giving it to my son. I loved it when I had it and a friend of mine has a Nook and she loves it. It takes awhile of playing around on those things to learn how to use them. Be patient and you'll figure it out. I am not patient when it comes to technology, but it will come.

Once you find your niche on Family Corning, you'll be addicted.

Welcome Back Newdaawn!!! I haven't been here in a few weeks so I'm kinda late welcoming you back! I know you'll figure things out quickly and if you need help, just holler! Have fun looking around and you will soon find so many things to do you'll never want to leave!
