Welcome Boyz&me
glad to met you, glad you found this site, you will not be sorry... there are lots of neat forums on this website... and lots of wonderful caring ladies that wil help you with questions including myself... and FC has lots of females> LOL, so grab a chiar, and dig in wherever you might like to find a spot.

are you looking for crafts, a place to chat, food, like to collect postcards?, we have religious threads, photos, you name it and we got it and if not well then get it going... we even have a game thread.... we have fun and it quick and fast if you want to post but not say much. LOL

what ages are your boys?

for myself I'm a grandmother who is raising my gkids at the moment... the oldest gdaughter came to be befoe Christmas then on Jan 17th I got the youngest one on a 24/7 too..
they are a delight to have around, but a hand full too... thier ages are 4 soon to be 5 in May, the oldest one is 6 which she just turned 6 this month... but is going on about a much older child and the youngest one acts much younger. LOL

They are outside playing and haveing a blast...

My dh (dear husband) is older than I... by 15 yrs.. I'm 50 which makes him 65 and we been together since 85... we had a wonderful time of getting to know one another, we travel everyweek keeping up with a wagon train here in Texas.... LOL.. wow what an advernture that was.

I also enjoy writting whenever I get a chance to.

better go and check on the girls. again welcome.

Bar-Bar, my dh and I are also raising grandchildren. We have our 5 1/2 yr old grand daughter, Brianna; and her 4 yr old sister, Cheyenne. Our son moved in with us three yrs ago, got a divorce, and got sole custody of his two girls. He works very long hrs on his job, so we are raising his girls. We also have our precious 4 1/2 yr old adopted daughter, Ally.

wow, our gkids are so close in age... you are from where?
if you ever want to vent, or chat feel welcome to pm me

so does your son still live with you and help you with his and yor gkids?
my daughter is not with me...a very long story.... and a sad story in many ways....
possiblity the girls will be going back home after school is out, but then on the other hand, only time will tell if they do or not...

they also have a little brother, but his daddy got him, instead of my daughter.... boy do they all miss one another, and the girls misses thier mom too.

I finally allowed my daughter to see the girls on the oldest gdaughter birthday which was March 6th, since that time, she has seen the girls one other episode beside that weekend.

I'm finding there are more grandparents raisng thier grandkids these days.... I think there should be a support group....

it nice to know another grandmother who is raising thier grandkids on the board.... like I've said anytime you like to chat more, feel free to contact me.

Welcome to Family Corner Boyz&me !!

It's very nice to meet you! Very happy that you decided to join us! This is my absolute favorite "corner" of the web! This is a great place to make friends and find support. Everyone here is like a great big family.

Boy are you out numbered! You remind me of my Dad when I was growing up. I have two sisters and no brothers and every dog we ever owned was female! So, my Dad was out numbered 4 to one...not counting the dogs!

I'd like to extend an invitation for you to join us at a few threads. Click on any of the links below and it will take you to different threads/subjects around the site. Once there, just click on "post reply" and jump in with both feet! You'll have fun, meet some great people and just have an all around good time. If you ever need some extra help just click on the "pm" button at the bottom of my post and send me a private message. I'll do all that I can to lend a helping hand!

By posting, we "grow" a flower. We start out with an empty pot and end up with a gorgeous flower/plant. We never know what we're going to end up with but we have yet to be disapppointed!

Bar-Bar, yes, our son still lives here, too. It helps having him here. My husband was injured on his job in 1998, and after having five surgeries on his knee, he had to take a medical retirement. We were foster parents to drug exposed infants.
That's where we got our daughter, Ally. She came to us at the age of 7 weeks, and had withdrawals from her bmom's drugs for an entire year. She still sees a specialist in pediatric behavior.
When she became available for adoption, we adopted her. So, we have two four year olds, and a five year old!

God bless you! You have a lot of love in your heart to be able to make a difference in so many children's lives. I appreciate you taking in someone else's loss, as there are so many castaway children that need loving and nurturing.
May the children you have touched appreciate your commitment.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. My boys are 11 and 7. I work full time as does my dh. My oldest is starting baseball practice and my youngest plays basketball for the YMCA. I really enjoy going to the boys games and practices. But my house suffers in the mean time. The dust bunnies take over in the spring when I am out running around with the boys (oh well). I can't wait to check out the different threads that are here.

Have a great day!

Welcome Boyz&me, I too am a mom to 2 boys ages 19 & 6. I am def outnumbered in my house also, but you know the saying "he may rule the roost but I rule the rooster". My husband says "I wear the pants in the family, she tells me which ones". We have to be a little bit stronger when we are outnumbered. My oldest just moved out last month. So that is different. You found a good group of ladies here. So just jump right in there are a multitude of forums to get into. Again welcome aboard.
