Boy this was a hoot reading some of the entries here!

I just remembered something from a movie that a relative took me to and I remember the funny character say, " heller, we are from Georger, this is not Paree, wee, wee, I think you need to put some deodoree..." and I just cracked up!! And the character would also say "halleluyer!" Oh that was a hoot! A riot! a good time!

I'll be back with some sayings from my neck of the woods later.

Hey, this is so funny.
Let's think of a couple, as I rush away out to dinner

These sayings are not used all the time everywhere, but they are known to most people.
"The frog and toad" = the road.
Ya tit for tat = your hat
Bread and jam = tram.

Other expressions come in fads. At the moment everything is called random. ie a random thought, a random idea, a random suggestion. Seems to mean good or cool or neat, rather than a one-off.

Gotta fly, see ya round like a rissole!! lol

Here's a saying I grew up with " are you being haive" so I continued the tradition and raised my kids on that saying. LOL! I think it should be stated "are you be-having"

Blessings,
Dawn

LOL, mom!

My oldest son said to me a couple of years ago, "you sure have a tude". I thought, "what in the heck is a tude"? Dear son replied, "a tude mom... an attitude". LOL!

Well dear child, when you grow up and oversee the daily going-ons of your own home and those who reside under it's roof... you, too, can sport a "tude". However, until such a time, I'm the boss.

I love this topic don't know how I missed it
back when. My G-Mom use to say "directly" as in leaving
or doing something in a few minutes.
Around here they say Subs sometimes Hoagies (which I always
heard in Jersey)
I've said Fixin to many times. Again enjoying this topic
