What things do you collect?

I have collected so far 92 thimbles, they don't serve any purpose they just sit there on the dresser collecting dust. They are a cheap, and easy to pack, small souviner.
What strange or dust collecting things do you collect?

I like things with sunflowers on them so when something catches my eye and I can afford it, I'll buy it.

I also like salt and pepper shakers. I don't have very many because, like you said they are just dust collectors, but if I could figure out a cute place to display them that made sense; I buy more of them as they aren't that expensive.

Thimbles can be very pretty, I bet you've got some nice ones.

Hi Julie
My Mum collects salt and pepper shakers she has some really old ones.
If I can figure out a way to set them all together and post a pic I will.

I collect old china teacups and saucers!!! I like giving little impromptu teaparties! I have a teapot that is shaped like a birthday cake!

I also like to collect postcards and T Shirts when I visit different places.

My cookbooks didn't start out to be a collection but I think I have enough to consider them one!!!
Peace,train

Trainlady, had to laugh, I collect tea cups and saucers too. Not a big collection, but nice ones. I also collect gravy boats, sugar bowls, cramers...I like the old china you find in Antique shops, junk shops, good will etc. I also have tea pots....5-6 pots. Now I use my stuff too...so when it comes out of the hutch...my guys know they better be careful....breakables in our home sometimes have a short life. Glasses especially.

I also collect postcards, checkout the postcard swap. It is great to get "good mail"!

I have the odd teacup and saucer with a few teapots as well, they are in cabinets and away from flying objects in the room.

Here's a pic of the thimbles, it doesn't look like 92 but I counted again.
