Have any of you read "White Oleander" by Janet Fitch?
I have the book, and am getting ready to read it, since a movie was made from the book. If anyone has read it, let me know what you thought of it? Thanks, Pam
I agree with barbszy's comments on condensed books - years ago when I was so busy with little ones, that's about all the time I had for a quick read - couldn't let myself get lost in a book - have not read a condensed book in ages - but I remember how I enjoyed them.
CAFE, White Oleander is an excellent book. It's been a while since I read it but I remember having a hard time putting it down.
I am currently reading The Summons by John Grisham. I have loved everything he has written but am having a hard time getting into this one. It might have to do with being back to work full time after having had the summer off to read at my leisure.
I just finished "The Christmas Basket" by Debbie Macomber. This is the first book I have read of hers. I really enjoyed it. I hope her others are as good as this one.
I am a great fan of Debbie Macomber. She is my very favorite author. I have never read anything of hers that I did not like. Read more of her books, and I am sure you will agree.
I'm still working on THE LORD OF THE RINGS and also THE BLUE LAST by Martha Grimes. If you like mysteries on the order of Agatha Christie you'll like Martha Grimes.

I agree, Nora Roberts is my all time favorite so far. I am on a mission to read all her books. The problem is she writes them quicker than I can read them.

I'm reading: MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE (Nicholas Sparks; THE RAINBOW'S END (Martha Grimes); TUCK EVERLASTING (Natalie Bobbit); and am continuing on THE LORD OF THE RINGS.

I have read all of Nicholas Spark's books, and enjoyed them all. (Woops, have NOT read his last one yet.) I especially loved THE RESCUE. There are so many good authors out there, it is just finding them. Cafe
