I love anything written by Maeve Binchy and believe I've read every book she has written. I also enjoy Cynthia Freeman's books as well as John Grisham and Dean Koontz.
I enjoy anything that is exciting (but not gory ) and that involves drama. Stories that span generations are a favorite which is why I also enjoyed the Beulah Land series by Lonnie Coleman. I thought this series was miles better than Gone With the Wind!

I'm always looking for new reading material.

Jayne

I love James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell books. Just got done reading Jan Karon the first book in the Mitford series. I have read all the others and started on the series again.

I'm over half way through "Standing in the Rainbow" by Fannie Flagg right now. It's GREAT!

I finished reading CLARA CALLAN- it was very good.

I'm about 150 pages into THE LIFE OF PI. I like it but it's a slow read for me.

I keep thinking about starting the Mitford series but I've got this great book exchange system going with family and friends and have always had something new to read over the last few months.

I joined a bookclub because I love to read. I recently ordered some books by Nicholas Sparks. Has anyone read him? These will be my first and based on the descriptions I'm hoping for some good reading.
I also ordered Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman by Elizabeth Buchan.

I'm going thorugh the stack I got for joining at an alarming rate so I hope they come soon.

I just finished the Fannie Flagg book and will next start on (I think this is the title, it's in another room) The Painted House by Dean Koontz. I have a very ecclectic taste in reading material.

Nagymom, I love the books Nicholas Sparks writes...they are romantic love stories, we life lessons and spiritual background. The are not trashy beach novels....but more of how a man & woman grow to love and understand each other, and how that love changed their lives. "A Walk To Remember" was just on tv here..it was good but the book I feel is better. "Notebook" was another, and Message in a bottle....I have The Rescue now and haven't cracked it open yet. And of course now there is another new one. lol I enjoy the books, enough to keep them in hardback.
