Kathy it must be exciting with wedding plans, etc. I think it is funny because when we all met here on fc our children were so young. I have 3 grands now 5, 7 and 9.
We are getting nasty winter weather here. Snow and ice last night but only like 3 inches.
I don't do well in the cold weather. I need warm sunshine.
Well have a great day ladies.

Been busy this week getting the house ready for Christmas & visitors. Love calling old friends that I grew up with to make sure they know I cared. My one friend lived in the same building I grew up in, went to school together. She was even my maid of honor. As soon as she heard my voice she wished me a Happy Anniversary. Her Husband just passed in July after a long illness. She is going to check in on me with her daughters computer. I already seen her children & grand children and all the happy times in between.
Was a beautiful day today hit 80*. Decorated outside even cut behind my lamp post bushes that were hindering me to decorate. Trimmed and made cuttings of hibiscus branches to make new plants. The large fig tree with brown mission figs is really producing at least twenty figs a day. Been freezing the extra so they don't go bad. These should produce for a couple more months.
Looking forward to my sister visiting in a couple of months.
Have a good week everyone.

HI
Just dropping in to wish all a merry Christmas. It has been a good year, although has had a few ups and downs.
Kathy, I also get the school holidays, but I am a teacher these days so have the busy workload to go wth it! I am loving it though.
Exciting to read of the engagement - enjoy your family Christmas.
We had the in-laws get together yesterday, mum in law got day release from hospital for it. We will see my mum on Christmas day.
Love to all - great to see I still 'know' soem of the faces/names here

Thanks Lauri. I love it when I get to pop in and find familiar names. So much has happened since the days when I was here daily.
It is good to hear of all the changes in families and see what others are up to.

Meg, A lot has time has gone by since we joined FC, glad to see you.
Talked to my Step Son's, first wife who recently passed away today they had been divorced over twenty five years. Their children are grown married with children of their own. One daughter is a widow & getting married again next year. Not enough time to keep up what is going on with everyone but I try. Glad the connection is still there since she never remarried and we remained friends.
Dh is glad I still have the Christmas spirit to decorate inside and out. He is getting older so we are glad he is here to see the additions from his grandchildren & great grand children to the family name.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone.

I know in many ways although we've never met we've watched all the kids from here grow up into adult hood, yikes!! I've no grandkidlets, the eldest is still looking for the right one.
Youngest decided on April for the wedding time, Autumn but no date, 2018.
They've said a hot and wet Christmas day but if it's like today xmas eve it will be a great weather day, fingers crossed.
Hope your christmas is wonderful and warm and just the way you wish it

Meg I'm an assistant canteen convenor, part time so I have the holidays but not the teacher stress that you have lol
The engagement is our first and the youngest wins out they've been together for 3yrs so really it was a matter of when the question would come out.
Happy for you that your mum broke out and got to spend some quality time away from hospital that can do a world of good for spirits. Enjoy your Christmas time.
