Halloween Songs

Does any one know of any Halloween songs for 1-5 year olds?
The only one I know is

Jack-o-lantern, Jack-o-lantern you are such a pretty site.
Sitting there in the window, looking out at the nite.
You were once a yellow pumpkin, growing on a sturdy vine.
Now your a Jack-o-lantern, let your little lite shine. :bgrin:

My daughter learned the days of the week last year by singing it to the Addams Family song. I know that it's not Halloween but that's what I would think of when she sang it. It was so cute!

Check out this site. There are some cute ideas there.

I'll have to ask her if they are singing anything in school this year. She hasn't been signing anything but the "Pledge of Allegiance" - and until my son started at this school, I never knew there actually was a song for it.

Teachers nowadays are so clever and make up songs for everything! :bgrin:

Thanks Tami,
Maddie learned the days that way also.
I'll have to ask her what they are singing.
Sometimes she'll say nothing, but then I hear her singing something.

five little pumpkins sitting on a gate
the first one said oh my it's getting late
the second one said there are witches in the air
the fourth one said lets run lets run
the fifth one said isn't halloween fun
then wooo went the wind and woosh went the lights
And 5 little pumpkins rolled out of site

sing this to 3 blind mice
Three black cats, three black cats,
In black hats, in black hats,
They all jumped into the Halloween brew.
They teased the ghosts & the goblins too!
Have you ever seen such a Hullabaloo??
On Halloween, On Halloween!

sing to oh my darling

In The graveyard...my kids loved this one

In the grave yard,
In the grave yard,
When the moon begins to shine,
There's a doctor, crazy doctor,
and his monster Frankenstein.

Oh, my monster,
oh, my monster,
oh, my monster Frankenstein,
you are very, very scary, don't come
near me Frankenstein.

Sung to twinkle twinkle

Pumpkin pumpkin on the ground
How'd you get so big and round
Planted as a seed so small
Now you are a great big ball
Pumpkin pumpkin on the ground
How'd you get so big and round

Thanks, Debbie! Even though I didn't ask this question, I will get a lot of use out these songs. I can't wait to show Alexis these. :)

She told me tonight that they haven't sung any Halloween songs this year.

Your welcome Tami...I use alot of songs and finger type play for the daycare.....we make 5 pumpkins on popsicle sticks to go with 5 little pumpkins.....

Kids all love the songs...they are simple to tunes we all know...I often make a little booklet for each holiday for the kids to take home so they can sing them with their parents.

Debbie you have given me a great idea. I might not see the boys again until Halloween night, but I will type up some of the songs and email to Ashley. She will love them to sing to Gabe and Eli.

Our elementary school isn't having a Halloween parade this year. The school is being renovated and there is little parking. They will still have their parties though.

Halloween Song

This is a long version of a Halloween song.

Halloween, Halloween
Creepy, crawly Halloween
Trick or treating all in fun
October 31st has come

Halloween, Halloween
Spooky, kooky Halloween
Kids in costumes, what a sight
On Halloween tonight

Big black cats
Vampire bats
Ghosts and goblins out tonight
Causing quite a fright

Halloween, Halloween
Painted faces, what a scene
Door to door they trick or treat
For something sweet to eat

Halloween, Halloween
Celebrating Halloween
Jack-O-Lanterns all aglow
So the ancient stories go

Halloween, Halloween
Celtics started Halloween
They celebrated harvest time
With gifts of food and wine

Candles glow
Spirits go
Bringing luck and fortune too
This is what they knew

Halloween, Halloween
Now they call it Halloween
Skulls and bones create the scene
Very scary Halloween

Halloween, Halloween
Let's have fun on Halloween
Witches fly and children scream
Tonight on Halloween

Witches fly and children scream
Tonight on Halloween

Debbie F. 10-28-2009 04:56 PM

Here's one:

One little, two little, three little witches
Flying over hills and flying over ditches
Sliding down moons without any hitches
Happy Halloween!

(sung to the tune of 10 little indians!)

This song is so cute.. I was going to make a holiday song book for my niece on Shutterfly, and alot of these simple songs will fit in perfectly.
