I just got the book "Another Bull*** Night in Suck City" by Nick Flynn It is about a guy who meets his father who is homeless while working as a caseworker in a homeless shelter and who had also been homeless himself. I am starting it as soon as I finish I Capture the Castle

I finished "Homer's Odyssey" a true story about a woman who raised a blind cat. So sweet, tender ...a very loving story.

I am now starting "Digging to America" by Anne Tyler.
It's about two families who would have otherwise never came together if it wasn't for meeting at the airport, each anticipating the arrival of their adopted babies from Korea....

hugs, train

Donna, I have Homer's Odyssey on my "to read" list. If you liked that book, have you read "Dewey - the Small Town Library Cat Who Changed the World'? That book was amazing.

I recently read the Dewey book. It was a great story but I thought it got repetitive after a while.

Just finished Simply from Scratch by Alicia Bessette. It's the story of a young widow, about a year after her husband's death. Excellent!

Sammi, I'm requesting the book about homelessness from our library. Big DS volunteers at a soup kitchen that serves the homeless. I think he would like to read it.
