What ways do you learn best?

What ways do you learn best? Listening, watching, reading or doing?

I have to watch and take my own notes.
Reading is definitely last for me. My comprehension from reading has always been poor.

hugs, train

I have to see it. I sometimes can hear it to learn it, but mostly hear it. I score 50/50 on the learning test for visual/auditory, but I think due to my hearing impairment, I rely more on the visual.

I also have to see it. I write notes down for the next time I have to do it. At work, if I'm trying something I've never done before, I always do it once before I blow up the recipe. I'd hate to make 40 cakes that are a big flop. LOL

I am more like danstigerangel in that I am very visual, to text especially. Kinesthetic next, doing is learning. And finally auditory.

I like to watch while something is shown to me and sometimes I try to take notes. But it's easier for me to do it myself after being shown (I sometimes don't understand my own notes after I know I wrote them myself!!)

I find the more senses I use when learning something new the better. I need to hear it, see it, read it, write it and read it again over and over. Eventually it sinks in - most of the time anyway LOL

Great question.

I find that I listen and take notes a lot. Writing helps me remember, but nothing beats a hands-on experience!

Lita, did you have problems in school when you were young? It seems that since teachers usually teach to the visual and the auditory, the tactile learners usually get left out. My DH is a tactile learner.

I'm the hands-on type, but also pick-up a lot by watching, too. Nothing beats doing it.

Hi Miss Money Penny,

I would have guessed you were a visual learner. Me, I love watching LOL!

Blessings,
