Going Back To School

1 Attachment(s)
Thinking of DeBora made me think of this question becasue she is such an inspiration to me.

If you could go back to school/wanted to go back to school what would you study and why.

I would choose journalism. I love to write!!

Thanks Donna! If anyone ever contemplates going back to college, feel free to PM me. It can be a bit overwhelming at first because they don't tell freshmen anything, like what classes are only taught in the spring or fall or what teachers are so difficult that most students fail and so on. There is also a test you can take to see what careers you are cut out for!

For those who don't know I got my AA in Criminal Justice last May and am working on a BA in Psychology and am planning on working on doing clinical research in grad school.

I have often thought about it. I have gone to classes for my job. As you probably know I am the head baker at a boarding schoool, and I've taken advanced cake decorating, etc. (We also do catering, etc.).

I took Microsoft Word two years ago. I was thinking of getting back in to office work.. That's what I did over 15 years ago.

If I did go back I would focus on something medical.

I would love to be the Director of Activites at a Nursing Home.

DeBora.......Kudo's to you. You rock! I hope all goes well with your classes.

Hugs,
Lauri

Lauri, if you do decide to go, I wish you well! If I can do it, I know anyone can.

Lauri, have you ever checked into what type of education or experience it would take to be the Director of Activities at a nursing home? You should check in to it.

I just thought I would would let everyone know that after only 10 more credits, I will graduate with my BA in psychology with a minor in forensics in May.

For those thinking about going back to school, whether it is for a college degree, certification, or even training--go for it. It is totally worth it.
